Deviation Actions
As odd as it sounds many deviants have no idea what Daily Deviations a.k.a. DDs are. We, regular DD suggesters as we unofficially call ourselves work towards raising awareness of this wonderful feature of DeviantArt. So what are Daily Deviations? In short, they are an official daily feature of artworks made by a team of gallery moderators much like the news article features so many of us make of our favourite art. More details about DDs you can find here:

The suggestor says: "The deviant is a brand new member of DeviantArt and this is his first submission. It, however, already shows the artist's incredible sense of detail. The design is very fresh and the vivid colours are very uplifting." and i can only agree to that. (Suggested by drop-asd and Featured by pica-ae)

suggester said: "This vector is quite simple in composition but it's absolutely adorable. The concept behind it is very relatable and brings me the cuddly feeling that I associate with childhood and dreams."

This vector as well as the artist's reaction just brightened up my day!

meganjoy said; "Amazing gradient. All I can say is that it's a stunning view!"
drop-asd said; "There's something hauntingly beautiful about the morning light captured in the fog that the photographer has done a great job capturing. The contrast between the gloominess of the area enveloped in fog and the brightly lit hills is astounding!"
(Featured by Anoya)
I suggested this piece alongside another one from the same photographer which shows a praying mantis against a setting sun and which I honestly liked more.

La torture... by ~blackfunnyduck
Suggester drop-asd says, "This photograph evokes in me the notion of something wild, something savage that can't be tamed, something dangerous, uncontrollable. Perhaps it's an effects of the ropes and the dark shadows of the photo as well as the glistening skin of the model, which creates an impression of a great physical effort. The ropes also remind me of lianas and therefore the jungle. In my eyes this is the modern Lara Croft - bold, athletic, reckless and hot."
Suggester pinkplaidrobot says, "I love how sexy and strong this piece is! The model has such a strong pose and her expression is beautiful. Like a release. The shadow and sheen of her body and how it mimics the rope. It almost seems like it's one with the model, like some muscular tether, is just awesome." (Featured by Nyx-Valentine)

Cube X by Piratu-oi
The suggester says, "This image carries the surrealism of the rest of the series as well as another series from the same photographer, which is purely in white. The difference here is the black paint which spreads across the model's chest. It gives the photograph a gloomy, disturbing nuance that adds to the uneasy feeling of sterility given by the white colour and the bandages. This is an exemplary specimen of the surreal artistic nude." (Suggested by drop-asd and Featured by Nyx-Valentine)

You're So Cute. by Dastorm-Photography
The suggester says; "I suppose what I most like about this photo is the subtlety of it. It is quite rarely that the horror genre presents a photograph in which you have to imagine the story yourself. But it gives the viewer such delicious and disturbing hints about it that it's a creepy adventure to try to come up with the details about it. There's also something decidedly inhuman in the hands, the way they seem detached from a body, the way they seem to "crawl". It creates associations with a scary monster hiding somewhere in a haunted house waiting to be awaken. It gives me goosebumps to even think about it!"
(Suggested by drop-asd and Featured by pullingcandy)
This photographer is very prominent and persistent in the horror genre. Both Kay and I agreed she simply HAS to be featured but we had a hard time choosing one particular photograph.

"I adore how the savage nuances combine with the glamour - the contrast is fantastic! This photograph also shows incredible attention to details such as the make-up, the tattoo, the hairdo, which brings associations with something wild and untameable."

Oh how I love when the wild combines with the glamourous! This photo is simply irresistible.

Extraordinary design and dramatisation of form lend to the charm and uniqueness radiating from Oh, San Francisco by SirBumboom. A closer look is certainly not to be missed in order to appreciate all the fabulous details, from the bold character of the work surface, to the fine intricacies that make up the fabric of the woman's dress. Please enjoy. (Featured by snowunmasked)
I remember initially suggesting another work from the artist's gallery and since my name wasn't in the suggester's slot I didn't realize at first it was the same suggestion. It was only later that I found out and was really thrilled for the artist.

in a face photographed that never looks like her.

her voice with a brief dictionary of words misunderstood.
The smell of cloud bank musings lingers on her wrists;
April is tangled in her hair

P.S. I apologize for going over the 50 thumbnails limit set by dA but I simply cannot restrain myself to so few suggestions per month.

I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone who participated in this contest in any way for the huge delay. I have had no access to the site for three weeks now and since I am the only one running the contest it was inevitable that the article isn't published on time. My deepest apologies to the entrants whose entries have not been yet submitted to the gallery and to the people who have been asking me about the extension of the deadline. Back from first week in uni
First of all I'd like to apologize to everyone who I should have notified of my leaving but didn't. The last day at home was very busy with preparing luggage and furniture so I had no online time.
My first week in uni was VERY hectic and ABSOLUTELY fabulous! Apart from the busy schedule, which completely drained me, I met so many new awesome people that even after I had internet on Thursday, I had no heart at all to spend time online instead of going out with my colleagues.
The big city isn't that intimidating and depressing when you have nice people to hang out with. Luckily for me I have three more pharmacy first-year students in my block

Introduction
For many months after I joined deviantART it was only there for me to submit my doodles and wait patiently for others to find them, comment and fav. Many people on this site still believe this. But the truth is that this community wouldnt have been so thriving hadnt it been for a special guild of deviants who decided it was worth dedicating their time to promoting others art, to helping their fellow artists improve, to encouraging art creation instead of indulging in their personal artistic endeavors.
