The first official group contest at Digiversity is closed! What we wanted you to do was pick one of your most loved people, take the first letter of their name and use it as a centre of your image, which should aim to represent the personality of the person in question and the feelings you have for them, be it love, adoration, respect, lust, admiration etc. You can view details about the contest in the contest opening news article:

The Judging Process

Considering the number of entries, we have decided to split the judging process into two rounds.

:bulletred: During the first round every judge chooses their three most favourite entries.

:bulletred:  The selected pieces will then be subjected to more detailed inspection and will be rated from one to five.

The one with the higher score will become winner and the second scoring entry will become a runner-up. All the picks form the first round will be featured as honourable mentions.
The judges will take into consideration aspects such as originality, interpretation of the theme, composition and design.

EyrieStanding here
In the clear of the dark of the moon
Soon to see the sun break
across the crags and the flagstone
steps of giants
long faded, amidst serrated peaks
commanding valleys, embracing mists
and the hiss of the blue serpent
on the floor
under shade of granite guardians,
stone soldiers, in
uniforms of ice and evergreen.
Shall I plant my nest here
at the barrier
of earth and heaven,
Or push off instead
to meet the headwind
and plummet,
to come to rest in the breast
of the mist and the fangs
of glittering stone?
Or straddle the dawn,
and drop the sticks,
and fan my wings
and find the clouds awaiting.

Sophie cocked her head to one side, and studied her son's unhappy expression. He looked so much like his father, and so grown up for a fourteen year old.
"Nick, honey-" she began, reaching a hand to curl a stray hair back behind his ear.
"Come on Mum, at least wait," the boy insisted, shoving his hands into his jean pockets, "It's been two months. You don't have to rush into things."
"Nick…"
"I've seen the way you look at him!" he enraged, taking a step back to ensure he didn't hurt her in his outburst. He kept his fists closed tight in his pockets. "You're frightened of him!"
"Nick," Sophie soothed, sitting down on the edge of the bed, "I don't want to be alone."
"You're not," Nick whispered, "You've got me. And Damien."
"Please, Nick," Sophie insisted, looking her son up and down, "You're not making this any easier."
"You don't want to marry him!" Nick moaned, taking his hands out of his pockets and walking over to her, reaching his

hey! I'm soooo sorry I couldn't participate in the contest :/ I've been epicly busy with school the past few weeks and would really have loved to come up with something (I had quite some ideas bouncing in my head already) but I had no time at all :(
But but but the entries look really great! I'll prob do a quick feature on my journal once the results are out :)
